Explore Himalaya can offer you a jungle experience with a uniquely styled jungle lodge on the edge of Royal Bardia National Park and a comfortable tented camp within the park, 15 kms north of the Lodge on the banks of the great Karnali river. Approximately 1,000 sq kms in area, the Park has a rich and varied wildlife; wild elephant, the greater one horned rhinoceros, leopard, blue bull, samber and swamp deer, chiral [spotted deer], wild boar, and the most magnificent of cats, the Royal Bengal tiger.
Bardia is remote and still relatively unexplored, but over 300 species of birds have been recorded here. The Park is surrounded by villages of some of the most spectacular and colourful Tharu tribal peoples.
