Explore Himalaya offers a unique opportunity to experience an unspoilt and relatively unexplored 1000 sq km. area of South West Nepal in Royal Bardia National Park.

The Park encloses the largest area of untouched wilderness in the Terai and there are excellent opportunities for viewing the wildlife which includes Bengal tigers, rhinoceros, elephant, leopard, sloth beer and monkey. The largest Asian elephant ever recorded is also a resident of the Park.


Bordered by the mighty Karnali river to the west, the Royal Bardia is also home to the rare Gangetic dolphin, Marsh Mugger crocodile and over 356 species of birds. Surrounding the park are a number of Tharu villages where a welcoming "namaste" is assured.

While in the national park you can experience the park from a peaceful and comfortable retreat. Resort having facility of Accommodation in 4 twinbedded and 2 en-suite triple bedded cottages and the resort is equipped with western style toilets and showers. The large domed Tharu dining hall where Nepalese and continental food is served in the perfect place for evening relaxation with a beer or soft drinks.

There is enough to see and do in the parks to justify a story of several days.

Getting There

When you book a trip to Chitwan National Park, whatever mode of transportation you choose to get there, you have to reach a pickup point, from there you will be picked up by the respective 4WD of the resort you have booked.

By Land

From Kathmandu, it is a 16 hour journey by road to Nepalgunj, and then a further 1-2 hours to Bardia, while from Pokhara, it takes approximately 10 hours. From bus stop, you will be conducted all the way to the Resort in a private vehicle. Those travelling from Mahendra Nagar will be picked up at Ambasa.

By Air

If you decide to fly to Nepalgunj, you will be picked up by our private vehicle in the airport and it is two hours drive to the resort.
