ll expeditions on Everest and Cho Oyu in Tibet will be postponed to mid-May due to Chinese decision.
 
A team of six members for Mt. Everest (8,848 m.) flew to Lhasa on 17 April 2007.
 
 
 
 

Project Himalaya Everest Expedition 2007

 
     

Explore Himalaya Hearty congratulate the team of Project Himalaya Everest Expedition, 2007 for their well deserved success on the Top of the World.
 
Project Himalaya Everest Expedition 2007 team Consisted of Mr James Stuart McGuinness (leader), Mr Gavin Michel Attwood, Ms Kiristi Louise Samson, Mr Geoffrey Roy Frank Weir, Mr Kevin James Cherilla and Mr Phillipe Francois Erasme Gatta with Sherpas from Explore Himalaya, Mr. Da Gelje Sherpa (Sirdar), Mr Namgyal Sherpa, Mr Pasang Gombu Sherpa, Mr Kami Sherpa, Mr Ngima Chhiri Sherpa, Mr Mindu Chhiri Sherpa, Mr Ngawang Goden Sherpa and Mr Tawa Chhiri Sherpa (cook) and some Tibetan crew for assistantance.

On 17 of April, the members flew from kathmandu for Lhasa. Few days in Lhasa for acclimatization, stunning sightseeing monasteries, varieties Tibetan culture, after, the members finally arrived at Base Camp (5200m) on 24 April 2007. There they were met by Nepalese Sherpa staff crew who had entered Tibet via Zhangmu by overland. On 28 April the team reached Advance Base Camp (6400m), the next day Puja ceremony to the mountain by the sherpas and trek back to base camp and it was all wait and watch game.

On 24 May 2007 at 0545 hrs (Nepalese Time), Mr Phillippe Francois Erasme Gatta together with Mr Namgyal Sherpa and Mr Ngima Chhiri Sherpa reached the summit. They spent 45 minutes on top of the Everest and descended back to camp 2 (7650m). Likewise, after a week, on 5 of June on 0715 hrs, Jamie McGuinness, Kristi Samson and Kevin Cherilla summitted Everest via its north side together with Ngima Chhiri Sherpa and Mindu Shera. The team than drove back to Kathmandu on 8 of June.

Mr Ngima Chhiri Sherpa summitted Everest twice, first with Phillipe and than later with Jamie and his mates. Imagine that !!!  Once again Congratulations guys , Mission Complete…..over!!!!.
