THE ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK – 17 DAYS

 
 
The Annapurna Circuit is the popular name for a 300 kilometre trek in Nepal around the Annapurna mountain range in the Himalayas. And Annapurna circuit Trek is a magnificent trek which follows the Marsyangdi Khola from the subtropical lowlands to the Manang basin, and then crosses the Thorung La before descending to the deepest gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki. The range of the Annapurna circuit is rich in variety and vistas, from the lush green rice paddies of the Marsyangdi to the arid high-altitude Himalayan interior, and it's ecological and cultural diversity provides the complete trekking experience. Along the way, The magnificent mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes Annapurna 8,091 metres which was the first 8,000 metre peak to be climbed, the magnificent ice pyramid Dhauligiri 8,167 metres, once the home of the legendary Buddhist guru Padmasamba, and Machhupuchhare 6,993 metres, considered by many to be the most beautiful mountain in the world.

After crossing the Thorung La and descending through Muktinath to Jomsom, a short but spectacular flight will take you along the Kali Gandaki Valley to Pokhara.

Your itinerary is just a guideline and we have not included any rest day in Pokhara.  Since the trek ends in Pokhara, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal, it would be nice for you to spend a day or two in this scenic city, taking in the beautiful sights and sounds. Please do let us know, if you wish to spend a day or two in Pokhara or head towards Chitwan for a wildlife safari adventure.
