Fishtail Air adds the new AS 350 B2 to its fleet

Fishtail Air Pvt Ltd has added the new AS 350 B2 helicopter to its fleet. According to Mr.  Sajish Shrestha, the Marketing Manager, Fishtail Air,the aircraft  arrived in Kathmandu on 11th April and the company operated its first flight on  April 16th 2009, when it made a rescue operation for an Austrian client , Peter Brandner. The rescue flight was made from Gunsa in Taplejung at a height of 17,500ft.

The special feature of the aircraft is that it can land up to an altitude of 20,000 feet, has a fail safe design and has a seating capacity of 5 people, excluding the pilot. According to Mr.Shrestha, the operation of two brand new aircrafts, AS 350 B 3 are in the pipeline.

Fishtail Air operates flights for sightseeing, rescue, medical evacuation, corporate movement, project support, expedition works or any other purposes that need the services of a Helicopter. The company also operates support flights for trekking which is getting really popular these days in the name of “Heli-Trekking”.
